The Tourism Cadet Corp receives donation from Wishing Well Inc.
The Wishing Well Inc. (a charitable foundation) is truly wishing others well especially with their latest donations. This foundation donated in the form of The Epicurean Gift Vouchers to the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Cadet Corp (ABTCC) in an effort to help make their upcoming Fun Day & Luncheon fundraiser a memorable event. This fundraiser is also one of the projects the students partake in to learn the various aspects of event planning and resource management.
The Gift Vouchers were presented by a staff member of the Verandah Resort & Spa on behalf of the Foundation to the “Junior Minister of Tourism” (one of the students participating of the ABTCC) and Ministry of Tourism staff members. “We are grateful for this donation that will help my fellow TTCs and myself make the upcoming fundraiser and related projects even more successful.” – Dasharnie Singh, Junior Minister of Tourism ABTCC.
The ABTCC comprises of secondary school students within the 4th and 5th forms. The A & B Tourism Cadet Corp was established in an effort to help the youths of the nation groom their creativity as well as their visions on how to improve and sustain our main industry – tourism. These students are dedicated to improving and diversifying the nation’s tourism product. The Fun Day & Luncheon Fundraiser is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 19th 2016 at the Antigua Cultural Centre, Old Parliament building, starting at 12:00 noon.
