Blue Waters Resort & Spa reappoints Alistair Forrest as General Manager

Forrest Spearheads New Resort Renovations in His Second Tenure
with the Luxury All-inclusive Caribbean Resort

Antigua’s Blue Waters Resort & Spa is delighted to announce the appointment of Alistair Forrest as General Manager. The appointment reflects the hospitality veteran’s second tenure as General Manager of the luxury all-inclusive resort on Antigua’s northwestern shore, following his previous term from 2008 – 2012. In his new role, Forrest will oversee new renovations and upgrades to the property, as well as the resort’s continued growth and expansion in the North American travel market.

With over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including more than 20 years in the Caribbean in particular, Forrest applies his expertise in the areas of refurbishment and guest services to his role at Blue Waters Resort & Spa. Most recently, Forrest was the General Manager at Nisbet Plantation in Nevis and previously Cobblers Cove in Barbados, a five-star Relais & Châteaux boutique resort. Prior Caribbean experience includes managing several properties in Antigua, including Blue Waters, Royal Antiguan Resort and St. James Club, as well as serving as the opening General Manager for Carlisle Bay. Forrest, who is a Member of the Institute of Hospitality (MIH), has also managed hotels and resorts in his native Scotland, the Seychelles, Vietnam, Maldives and the UK.

“We look forward to a successful new chapter in Blue Waters’ evolution with Alistair Forrest returning as General Manager,” said R. L. Randall, Chairman of Blue Waters, Antigua. “My commitment to Blue Waters remains as passionate as it has always been and I’m excited to announce further investments into Blue Waters this year under Alistair’s direction.”

Renovations and enhancements to the resort include Bartley’s Restaurant, the reception and Pelican Bar. Further improvements are also planned for the Cove Suites and Cove Restaurant, as well as additional upgrades around the resort as a whole.

“It is an honor for me to be joining once again the distinguished team at Blue Waters Resort & Spa, which has an excellent reputation for its high levels of personal service and a loyal following of repeat guests,” says Forrest. “I look forward to helping the resort continue its service excellence and meet the ever-changing needs of the affluent traveller.”
