Major Airline Movements at the V.C.Bird International Airport

The V.C.Bird International Airport – TAPA is located on the northern side of the island.  The airport has a 10.000′ runway and can accommodate large jets including Boeing 747’s.

Antigua is well served from North America. American Airlines operates with daily flights from Miami and New York and once weekly from Charlotte. In addition United Airlines flies in daily from Newark in the high season, whilst Delta Airlines flies in twice weekly from Atlanta. Jet Blue serves the island with three flights weekly from New York JFK.

The island has direct flights from Toronto in Canada with Air Canada flying in three times per week and Westjet twice weekly in the winter season

From Europe Antigua benefits from daily flight with British Airways and four times weekly with Virgin Atlantic from London Gatwick. In the winter season Thomas Cook flies every Tuesday from Manchester and Condor every Monday from Frankfurt. Neos will be operating a weekly charter from Milan, Italy for the 2016-2017 winter season arriving every Friday.

Regionally LIAT, the Caribbean Airline links Antigua to 22 destinations throughout the Caribbean and is the regions’ major carrier. Several other regional carriers serve the V.C.Bird International Airport. PAWA Dominicana links Antigua with Sint Maarten and Santo Domingo twice weekly, Caribbean Airlines flies twice weekly to Jamaica and Trinidad, Winair has daily flights to Sint Maarten and Inter Caribbean Airlines to the BVI and Santo Domingo.
