Antigua and Barbuda Holds Positive Airline Meetings at World Travel Market

Antigua and Barbuda can report that it has held four positive airline meetings at 2015’s World Travel Market. Meetings were conducted with British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Thomas Cook and Condor.
Feedback from the airlines has been positive with all four airlines reporting an increased growth for 2016. There will be a fifth airline to fly to Antigua from Italy, with Alitalia starting on 20th December
Colin James, CEO, Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority commented;
“At present we have over 145,000 direct flight seats from the UK with just over 71,000 visitors last year, so there is still room for growth. However with the opening of several new hotels scheduled for 2017/18 and the opening of the new, state of the art airport terminal, additional airlift is essential and something which we are actively pursuing”.
